Job Description :
The Project Coordinator conducts research on immigrant student issues and plans, coordinates, and works with Dream Resource Center (DRC) programming, including leadership development trainings, fellowships, conferences, and workshops. The responsibilities include planning and development of agenda and curriculum; working on leadership, education, and training workshops and conferences; program facilitation; outreach and recruitment; program evaluation; budgeting ;maintaining relationships with stake holders and oversight of related clerical detail. The position also includes writing, editing, and publishing a book on the immigrant youth experience.

The incumbent also conducts education and outreach to immigrant youth networks nationwide through public speaking and social and traditional media, outreaches to funders, and writes funding proposals and narrative reports for funders.

Qualifications for Position




Proven systematic organizational skills to a) work independently with minimal supervision, b) determine workload priorities and tasks to complete work in a timely manner, and c) identify and resolve problems.


Interpersonal skills to interact sensitively and to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students, community members, workers, and outside organization officials and staff from diverse social, cultural, and educational backgrounds.


Ability to establish and maintain cooperative team working relationships with other staff, the university, and the community.


Strong research, writing, and editing skills and experience.


Public speaking skills and experience.


Experience and skill working with the media.


Knowledge of and experience with immigrant youth issues.


Knowledge of and experience with participatory education techniques.


Fluent bilingual English/Spanish skills, including oral interpretation and written translation.


Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.


Technologically savvy, ability to learn new programs and applications such as Qualtrics.


Bachelor’s degree in related subject or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
