Summary
We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented loan officer to join our growing mortgage loan institution. Inthis position, you will act as a liaison between applicants and our financial institution, helping qualified applicantsobtain mortgage loans, with a primary emphasis on home equity loans. Your duties will include meeting withapplicants, preparing loan proposals and the loan funding process.
Essential Functions
 Answer inbound telephone calls from prospective clients inquiring about mortgage loan products Make outbound telephone calls as necessary to follow up on leads and generate new business Answer questions from prospective customers about our mortgage loan products and understand customergoals and objectives Take applications over the telephone and/or assist customers imputing application data over our website Pre-qualify prospective clients, accurately quote program rate and terms, fully and accurately explain closingscosts Coordinate with the Underwriting Department processes for application review and approval Collect applicable documentation necessary to satisfy product/program requirements Prepare and submit loan for processing and regularly communicate loan status to client Ensure client documents are properly managed and secured while maintaining confidentially at all times Adhere to all State and Federal laws, rules and regulations at all times
Qualifications and Skills
 High School Diploma Required; College Degree Preferred Properly licensed under the requirements of the SAFE Act and possess a unique NMLS identifier Strong sales skills to sell loan-processing services to customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills, data entry, and computer skills 3 years of telephone sales or comparable experience Experience with mortgage loan software programs Proficient computer skills and MS Windows & Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) Excellent organizational and time management skills Knowledge of federal, state and local levels of loan processing laws and regulations and ability to communicatethese laws in a non-technical and conversational manner to others. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and credit check to client-required standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
