REPORTS TO: APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Applications Development Manager the Software Developer will collaborate with a team of developers to design, develop, and implement custom-developed software solutions for internal customer use. This position is located in Milpitas, CA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with a team of developers to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based applications
Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software applications
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards and practices
Provide technical expertise and research solutions to resolve application issues for end users
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology and/or equivalent relevant experience
Experience with the following software languages: C++/C#, SQL, Oracle, JavaScript, HTML, .NET/.NET Core
Experience with architecture including, the design, development, integration, and implementation of computer systems in a network environment

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of software languages such as C++/C#, SQL, Oracle, Javascript, HTML, .NET/.NET Core
Knowledge of the basic principles of architecture, including design, development, implementation, and integration of computer systems in a network environment
Knowledge of software application environments, including multi-tier systems, client management technologies, server-based architecture using REST, JSON, XML and direct API access.
Knowledge and ability to provide creative solutions for application issues and to resolve them quickly and efficiently
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management
Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills
Demonstrated time management skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
Flexible and able to prioritize

WORKING CONDITIONS: The Software Developer works primarily in an office environment from Monday to Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Occasionally, works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer fab manufacturing facility; adheres to required safety and dress standards. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 10 pounds.
