Job Summary

With oversight from the Director of Risk and Insurance, the Risk Analyst has responsibility for supporting the risk management program, coordinating internally on data requests for renewals and other requests, assisting on claims, market presentations, processing invoices, budget inquiries and requests, vendor contract review, and various other tasks. The Risk Analyst assists in the identification, evaluation, and administration of risk management across the organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manages Additional Insured and Insurance Certificate master lists, updates them, and reports changes to brokers
Gathers and disseminates claims information (company insurance claims including but not limited to workers’ compensation, auto liability, employment, and property) including the analysis of loss trends, and other general support, including regular reporting and notification
Coordinates with the Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Legal and any other pertinent departments regarding risk management matters
Analyzes premium invoices and insurance documentation for accuracy and allocation of insurance costs and responds to internal and external requests regarding insurance certificates, reviews certificates and contract language to ensure compliance where required
Assists in reviewing insurance policy wordings to ensure required and appropriate coverage is obtained
Assists with the monitoring and administration of the insurance program budget
Works with Director of Risk and Insurance and Risk Specialist to assure compliance with contractual provisions related to insurance and provides certificates of insurance, estimated maximum loss studies, schedules of insurance, input for reports and other required information for financial institutions, customers, lessors and insurers as required
Coordinates incident reporting to carriers and brokers on incidents that may arise to a claim
Liaises with insurance engineers, loss adjusters, Freeport LNG contractors and project managers as required for managing Freeport LNG’s various insurance policies and any potential claims
Assists in coordinating site tours, engineering audits, risk surveys, and loss adjuster inspections
Reviews certificates of insurance for customers, port liability agreements, contractors and other parties
Support Risk Department as needed with other responsibilities and tasks
Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
Education, Certification, and Experience

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience

Preferred: Degree in risk management, finance, economics, statistics, business, or a legal field. Familiarity with risk management concepts, corporate insurance, and energy with 1-4 years of relevant experience.

Environmental/Working Conditions:
Operates in a professional office environment within or outside of an industrial plant environment.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets.

Physical Expectations:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.
The incumbent is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities
HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
