About Data & Analytics at Upbring

Data complements innovation. As members of the UIL team, the Data & Analytics (D&A) department addresses “big picture” challenges that impact the child wellbeing industry, enables leaders to make better decisions with data, and bolsters Upbring’s position for new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

UIL seeks a
Data Analyst to assist our Director, Data & Analytics in preparing data for analysis, interpreting data, and leveraging analytics solutions to support business decisions. The position will report to and work closely with the Director while having broad exposure to Upbring’s Senior Leadership Team and programs.
Qualifications:

Experience You’ll Bring

Two (2) years of applicable work experience, or a bachelor’s degree
Proficiency with one of the following languages: SQL, Python, R, or Microsoft Power Query (M)
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability and discipline to work autonomously
Mission-driven professional with a passion for making a positive social impact
A sense of humor, humility, and “roll with the punches” type of attitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Have

Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, OR a related field
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query (M).
Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or Domo
Proficiency with cloud data warehousing and data pipeline management tools, such as Microsoft Azure, Apache Spark, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL
Experience with Predictive Modeling and/or deploying ML solutions
Strong statistical analysis skills, including proficiency with various statistical programs
Experience working in or with the nonprofit industry, child welfare, social and family services
