Overview:
Older Adults Technology Services from AARP (OATS) advocates for technology inclusion for the 50-plus, providing digital literacy training and programming to older adults. With nearly two decades of experience and insights on how older people interact with technology as well as its flagship programs like Senior Planet, OATS uses its resources to create world-class programs that form the basis for systems change.
The Project Analyst participates in the implementation of assigned projects. Coordinates and completes activities in support of overall project. Tracks progress against milestones, budgets, or other performance indicators and prepares reports.
Responsibilities:
Determines resource needs and tracks budget against projects and departments.
Organizes project teams and leads internal and external team members to deliver project goals.
Identifies and develops new procedures and processes to support the organization and project implementation.
Utilizes project management systems and tools in the planning and execution of projects; Trains staff on project management tools and best practices.
Monitors and reports project progress to stakeholders and leadership.
Escalates project issues while identifying alternatives and impacts.
Creates communications plans for all projects; Prepares and presents reports to leadership.
Collaborates with project owners to create project charters.
Qualifications:
5+ years managing projects or programs or coordinating business services/operations.
Demonstrated experience in leading teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes.
Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment and open to new concepts and/or processes.
Interpersonal communication skills especially the ability to communicate complex ideas and issues in a simple and straightforward manner.
Experience working in nonprofit business services/operations a plus.
Interest in working within nonprofit focused on older adults and social change a plus.
In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.
Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
