JOB PURPOSE:
The Pecos Children Center: Through a contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), Endeavors operates a 3,000 bed UC Influx Care Facility (residential) in Pecos, Texas (Pecos Children’s Center or PCC). Children age 13-17, both males and females, are provided medical and mental health care, recreation, programming and direct care in accordance with all ORR policies and procedures, as well as COVID-19 protocols. On average, children spend 15 days in care while they wait reunification with a qualified and vetted sponsor in the United States. Children are primarily from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

The Pecos Children’s Center provides unaccompanied migrant children with a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that is centered on the child’s well-being as they await reunification with family.
Vision
At the Pecos Children’s Center, unaccompanied migrant children receive the highest quality housing, programming, medical, and mental health care as our case management team conducts reunification services with sponsors in the United States.
Reporting to Endeavors Migrant Services Leadership, the PCC Facility Director is Responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent adherence and implementation of Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policy and procedures, to include Influx Care Facility standards. This executive leadership role, oversees all aspects of campus operations including: personnel, facilities, equipment, employee relations, safety & security, child welfare, compliance, and emergency response. Further, the Director will work with the Deputy Director of Medical Operations to ensure safe, timely, and appropriate medical and mental health care services for children. The Director will ensure that all staff and contractors adhere to relevant local, state, and federal guidelines as dictated by the City of Pecos, Texas, ORR, in providing for the care of migrant children at PCC.
