What you are good at
The Director of Fair Lending Analytics will develop and complete analyses to monitor and assess fair lending and UDAAP risks and will serve as a second line of defense subject matter expert providing regulatory oversight and advice with respect to policies, procedures, and controls and analysis and assessment of risk levels necessary to achieve compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. While this role is not a people manager, the Director will lead and coordinate efforts of other team members to ensure completion of monitoring activities. This role will partner with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Compliance to provide feedback from a One Voice perspective. The role will report to the Managing Director of Fair Lending Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, complete and maintain oversight and monitoring activities for identification, assessment and awareness of fair lending risks.
Build and complete analyses to identify, analyze and report potential fair lending risks such as disparate impact, disparate treatment, redlining risk, or overt discrimination.
Perform regression testing, identify matched pairs, and conduct file reviews to monitor compliance.
Lead and coordinate efforts across the team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of scheduled monitoring.
Identify, recommend and implement opportunities to apply data and enhance analytics to support fair lending and UDAAP programs.
Provide real-time ad hoc analytics to assess fair lending and UDAAP risks associated with new products as well as changes to marketing, underwriting, pricing, products, and related models.
Articulate analysis results and findings in a clear manner to stakeholders at all levels within the firm, including senior management.
Provide second line oversight of data needed to assess fair lending risk, including oversight of the annual Home Mortgage Disclosure Act filing.
Provide timely compliance advice and guidance, consistent with Corporate Compliance Standards, to business partners on lending activities, including policies, procedures, and controls necessary to achieve compliance with federal and/or state regulatory requirements applicable to consumer lending, home
lending, and small business lending with a focus on fair lending and UDAAP.
Provide a clear, independent risk management perspective in line with the firm’s overall risk appetite and develop a strong understanding of the business products, services, processes, and objectives.
Support the Compliance Risk Assessment to ensure comprehensive enterprise-wide assessment of fair lending and UDAAP risk
Connect the dots across regulatory developments, including enforcement actions within the industry, to ensure emerging threats and issues are identified and addressed.
Provide credible challenge to and influence the first line of defense in the identification, documentation and assessment of fair lending and UDAAP risks and controls in the Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
Influence senior management and peers to ensure robust oversight and understanding of fair lending and UDAAP risks.
Build constructive relationships with business partners while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
What you have
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of demonstrated expertise in fair lending analysis techniques and software
Solid understanding of fair lending and UDAAP/UDAP requirements
Minimum 10 years’ experience working in retail lending for a bank or other retail lender, with a minimum of 5 years in Compliance. CRCM or similar certification is a plus.
Exceptional problem-solving, with a strong analytical, data-driven work style. Possesses a keen attention to detail, but also the ability to see the big picture.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams and influence decision making
Proven track record of influencing across interpersonal boundaries and building strong partnerships
Proactive approach and experience juggling multiple projects with potentially conflicting resource/time constraints
