The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the following:

Setting up and breakdown of the function/meeting space, coffee breaks, food service area and bar as needed according to a BEO;
Maintain cleanliness of function space;
Knowledge of various types of equipment and room set up styles in meeting space;
Follow all safety and sanitation protocols as outlined by Hyatt Hotels;
Ensure all equipment is in working order;
Attend departmental pre-shift meetings;
Graciously and courteously respond to guests/clients needs as requested;
Perform other food & beverage duties as needed.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a banquet houseperson in a luxury hotel;
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced, luxury environment;;
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time;
Maintains a positive attitude and takes initiative to get the job done;
Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight;
Committed to producing quality work;
Supportive team player;
Eager to learn and to share knowledge and skills.
