Key Qualifications

5+ years of experience setting up and operating computer numerical controlled machines
Experience programming in a 3D CAD/CAM environment
Multi-axis mill-turn experience is strongly preferred
Experience working with a wide range of materials
Proficient with calipers, micrometers, surface plate inspection practices
Experience using horizontal and vertical saws, manual mills and lathes
Well organized and detail oriented
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
Self-motivated and a self starter
Excellent troubleshooting and interpersonal skills
Experience with close tolerances

Description

In this role, you will machine prototypes that will be used by the engineering teams for the purpose of design iteration and testing. You will be responsible for the total scope of fabrication, from preparing material for machining to setting up and using manual and CNC machines. You need to be able to accurately follow operational and routine maintenance instructions, and assemble fixtures, tool holders and cutting tools to facilitate machining operations. We maintain a safe and clean workspace and are looking for someone who has the ability to quickly learn about new processes with very little information or support. You need to have excellent communication and be able to work closely with other team members to ensure the highest quality product.

Education & Experience

– High school diploma or applicable experience
