JOB SUMMARY: (Night Shift Position)
Pre-register/register patients. Practice precision with data-collection/data-entry . Exceptional communication and follow-up with provider/physician offices via email and phone correspondence. Ability to multi-task, coordinate and work well with other departments.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years in hospital registration experience preferred.
Minimum two years scheduling and medical insurance verification
experience required.
Experienced in a medical customer service environment required.
Experience in handling/balancing cash required.
Knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology preferred.
Able to operate common computer software systems, utilizing both hospital and business software.
License and Certifications:
N/A
What you will do (Roles and Responsibilities):
Responsible for timely, accurate, and complete patient registration.
Registers and discharges patients appropriately from the Medhost system.
Collects and posts patient Point of Service payments and provides notification of patient arrivals to appropriate units.
Works in cooperation with physician’s offices to schedule Cath-lab, diagnostic procedures, sleep lab, and pulmonary function testing.
Communicates with physician offices to redirect services as necessary.
