1) Druid Operational Support EPM
We have an immediate need for an Engineering Program Manager (EPM). This role is within in Apple Media Products (AMP) Analytics Engineering department. The factors we are looking for are:

Strong project management experience

Able to handle fast paced and ambiguously defined projects with multiple customers and partners

Understanding of how data stores work

Conceptual familiarity with Apache Druid, and/or Business Objects preferred

Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, and/or big data technology preferred

Prior experience working at Apple preferred (to enable him/her to get up to speed on our tooling set quickly and more independently)

Familiarity with using a Mac laptop is preferred

The projects this person will be working on include a combination of the following:

Facilitating conversations with 2 production support teams on transferring support for Druid

Druid operational support coordination between customers and multiple production support (SRE) teams involved maintenance issues on Druid infrastructure

Coordinating conversations and executing on solutions for identifying a business owner, support model and infrastructure for a Business Objects system

Managing the project plan, timeline, project status, and Path report updates for the xCode migration track

Executing EPM support for other migration track work as they become ready

Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of iterative software development.
Knowledge of development processes and methodologies in addition to Agile and an understanding on how to leverage these techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
Value the commitments to delivery made by a development team and understand the technical requirements to meet these commitments.
Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
Proven use of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
Familiarity with PHP development and the LAMP stack isn’t required, but would be helpful.
Understanding of business intelligence technologies, concepts, architectures and methodologies a plus.

Familiar with supply chain concepts & processes a plus. Some travel may be required

Salary: $88,110.33 – $171,667.42 per year
