We are seeking a Principal Media Strategy Manager to lead integrated media strategy and planning for Global Amazon Originals in our key international regions. Your focus will be on driving and executing innovative and effective media strategies across a robust mix of channels including, but not limited to, television, print, digital, mobile and out-of-home to drive awareness and viewership of our Amazon Originals worldwide. You will be responsible for working with a cross functional team of marketers to deploy transmedia plans to delight our customers around the globe.
You will work directly with the Amazon Original Creative Marketing team to establish and implement media best practices, create rigorous analytical processes and produce cost-effective advertising. The successful candidate will also draw upon strong project management skills to ensure flawless execution of campaigns.
Key job responsibilities
Act as a strategic partner between Originals brand marketing leads, country managers and agencies to develop creative, effective and holistic ATL media strategies and tactics for Global Originals.
Set goals and KPIs and devise strategies through which to achieve them while implementing measurement plans.
Develop test and learn scenarios to continue to innovate and accelerate media performance
Manage budgets and timelines for media campaigns.
Prepare forecasts and performance reports that monitor and analyze key media metrics, quality, and campaign performance.
Oversee post-buy audit and optimization efforts to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the media plans.
Interface directly with networks, affiliates and partners to develop new advertising programs and secure premium media.
Seek and evaluate strategic media opportunities and serve as a thought-leader on new and innovative ways to reach and connect with our customer.
Monitor and analyze competitive media and marketing strategies.
Work closely with the digital video merchandising team, Amazon Ad Exchange and other internal partners to leverage merchandising opportunities that can be integrated into Originals planning.
A day in the life
A Principal Global Media Strategy Manager works end to end on global tentpole campaigns and has some key deliverables:
creates the overarching paid media strategy for global tentpole campaigns, while preserving the needs and nuances of the individual international markets.
works with the central cross functional teams on plans and programs that can be replicated in multiple locales
drafts the teaser and trailer campaigns, review and align with local teams. Post launch, analyse reports and propose optimizations

The mission of the International Media Strategy and Planning Team is to create processes, tools, learning agendas and plan global campaigns that meet the needs of our consumers in different countries. We are a link between the local teams and serve as a media center of excellent to accelerate growth for Prime Video. We are fed by the local knowledge and we map the opportunities to amplify those and scale learnings to other markets.
Experience working with diverse international regions and cultures
Solid entertainment industry knowledge
Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media research, trafficking, tracking and reporting processes, techniques and technologies
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a fast and lean work environment
Self-motivated and comfortable working with great autonomy
Exceptional analytical and writing skills with a strong creative sensibility
Spanish and/or French language fluency
