We are seeking a Patient Access Manager for HCA Florida Kendall Hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Kendall Regional Medical Center is now HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. Our 447-bed tertiary care and teaching facility has been serving the healthcare needs of Miami-Dade County for more than 45 years. As a 24/7 acute care facility, our hospital is one of only two Level I Trauma Centers in Miami-Dade County, as verified by the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, our network includes more than 700 affiliated physicians, offering a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
As the Manager of Patient Access, you will be responsible for assisting the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and serves as the liaison between the Shared Service Center (SSC) and the facility.
What you will do in this role:
Perform patient registration function when needed to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum
Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensure staff are adhering to the patient experience expectations.
Ensure QA on registrations for all areas of Registration
Provide continuous training for and communicates changes to existing employees
Prepare payroll and completes monthly work schedules as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels
Follow-up on patient complaints promptly
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
Minimum three years’ experience in related area with two of these years being healthcare management experience OR completion of the Parallon Manager Trainee Program.
