Job Description :
Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Court Services Division (CSD) is looking for Court Security Officers, (CSO’s) for multiple Courthouses in Austin Texas. Starside is responsible for the security and protection of court staff and visitors to courthouses in Austin, TX. Court Security Officers Applicants must have a clean background (as Verified by Austin Police Department) and all CSO must pass CJIS and Court Security training in addition to training on X-Ray Machines, CCTV and Metal Detectors.
Starside’s CSO’s must be professional and courteous at all time and have excellent uniform appearance.
Ideal Candidate

Clean Background / Clear Credit / Driving record
Pass a Pre-employment Physical and Psychological evaluation
Texas Non Commissioned Security License (Level II)
Texas Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW) a plus
Previous Law Enforcement, Court Security experience, a strong plus
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Willing to work 8 to 10 hours per day Monday thru Friday and attend training on weekends
Special Operations / Military a plus (DD214)
All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Compensation is $ 17.50 per hour and $ 4.22 into a Health & Welfare account. CSO’s should be able to communicate effectively to all levels of officers, management and administrators at local, city, county and federal courthouses. As with all Court Service Division employees CSO’s must be approved by The Austin Police Department, and the courthouse they are going to be assigned and pass their background
