Job Purpose and Impact

The Inbound Merchandising Supervisor will lead all aspects of routine or standard merchandising work. In this role, you will monitor a supplier base and fulfill transactions, delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity, and cost. You will lead a team that buys and sells commodities, solves complex supply chain issues, collaborates cross-functional team efforts, facilitates customer/supplier solutions, and foster a positive and productive work culture. Finally, the role is responsible for the team’s overall performance and development. Key Accountabilities

Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and credit managers to ensure efficient execution.
Originate, procure, and sell commodities and livestock to local customers to reach target volumes and gain revenue.
Work with the accounting and finance departments to resolve monthly contract and inventory valuations for a short-term strategy.
Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
Teach, coach, and mentor direct reports, as well as cross-functional partners, as required.
Work directly with customers, suppliers, and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs for a specific product.
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
Supervise and work with the accounts payable departments to solve invoice variations.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
Minimum two years of inventory management, logistics or costumer services experience. Preferred Qualifications

One year of supervisory experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
Background in supply chain, logistics or business administration a plus.
Background in Agriculture.
Background in SAP, TM is a plus.
Strong mathematical and analytical ability.
Project management experience. Position Information
