Job Description :
The Assistant General Manager?s primary role is to support the General Manager in achieving store and company goals. This position ensures a positive customer experiences and drives top-line sales growth. The Assistant General manager coaches Associates and Supervisors on corporate directives, policy and procedure as directed by the Store Manager and corporate stakeholders. The Assistant General Manager must assume the role of the General Manager in his or her absence and is expected to train and develop the team to achieve maximum productivity.

Promote and support an environment that is focused on consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences
Display expert knowledge of product, company history, company policy and procedures
Implement company selling strategies, policies & procedures and ensure store compliance
Assist in resolving customer service matters in absence of General Manager
Maintain an active sales floor presence to provide support and coaching to associates to ensure they achieve personal goals and uphold company standards
Evaluate performance of all team members to ensure alignment with GM on coaching including action plans and disciplinary action
Provide leadership or assistance with floor sets, window changes and other merchandising and visual expectations; ensure company sales floor standards are maintained throughout the selling day
Assist in meeting payroll goals by ensuring appropriate floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus in absence of GM
Ensure associates receive required scheduled breaks and meal periods in absence of GM
Perform opening and closing duties
Perform and supervise POS transactions when necessary, execute management functions in the absence of GM.
Ensure adherence to all company policy, procedures and guidelines in the absence of GM
Perform other additional projects, duties and assignments as required or requested by the GM
