The position is responsible for the year-round management and successful implementation of all operational aspects of career services offerings delivered to over 1000 students in the FEMBA and EMBA programs at UCLA Anderson and will interact directly with students, providing support, guidance and critical feedback. This position supports Working Professionals and must be available Tuesday through Saturday from 9am – 6pm and frequent Sundays to support students who take classes on evenings and weekends.

Primary responsibilities include: overall management and oversight of the career services operations, budgeting, invoicing, accounts payable, marketing and communications, technology initiatives in conjunction with the ACIS staff, and event management for EMBA and FEMBA career programs, workshops, events, and career-related projects.

Position collaborates with Executive and ProMBA Career Management Center career coaches to plan, develop, and implement career services targeted for EMBAs and FEMBAs. In addition, this position functions as the liaison with the Parker Career Management Center to address recruiting efforts for EMBAs and FEMBAs.

This individual will have an intensive student facing role including collaborating with: FEMBA Council on Career related initiatives; the Parker Career Management Center for On-Campus Recruiting; FEMBA Anderson Career Team (FACT) leaders; and FEMBA Associate Career Specialists (FACS) Team leaders and FEMBA Student Affairs

Position will be responsible for managing all of the Career Center’s databases including: CCLE Course Site and myCareer database for over 1000 students. This individual will manage these databases, and ensure accurate data input, manage document and deliverables collection.

Individual will manage 4-5 student workers in reviewing, grading and providing direct student feedback on over 6,000 documents annually, and continue to review and provide direct student feedback to over 400+ students on their OCR deliverables as they continue the OCR process.

This individual will act as a liaison with the Parker Career Management Center during On-Campus Recruiting in the support of over 400 FEMBAs and EMBAs who participate in OCR. This includes being fully aware of the OCR process, application process and ability to directly advise students on OCR process and guidelines.

This individual works in a team environment with other Student Affairs Officers of the FEMBA student affairs and operations group. The incumbent is expected to independently manage and/or collaborate with other senior staff on a variety of important career services, student affairs, academic, student services, operational, and general administrative assignments, projects and programs. This individual provides high level services to MBA students utilizing the Career Management Center, and also assists with Student Affairs issues. Incumbent is responsible for a variety of duties with significant importance to the successful management of the FEMBA Program. The Student Affairs Officer uses in-depth and general knowledge of career services, OCR, graduate studies, academic planning and student affairs and services to manage responsibilities and to establish close working relationships with students, faculty and staff within FEMBA, the Anderson School and the University.

1-2 years of supervisory/managerial experience including recruiting, hiring, training, leading, and managing staff and students of 4 or more in customer facing roles with focus on providing excellent customer service.

Able to communicate directly with students and serve as liaison and representative to effectively communicate services provided by the Executive and Fully Employed MBA Career Management Center interpersonally and in classroom settings to students and other UCLA Anderson and UCLA campus-wide administrative units.

Proven verbal and written presentation skills in order to deliver training and communication with external (business professionals, executives, speakers) and internal constituencies including corporate and media representatives, alumni, administrative staff, faculty, and students while being able to act with a high degree of emotional intelligence and professionalism in demeanor and attitude.

1-2 years of experience managing budgets and expenses, ensuring that costs and expenses are within budget.

1-2 years of experience working with vendors and contractors, creating purchase orders, processing invoices and tracking expenses.

Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday, afternoons, evenings, holidays and occasional Sundays to ensure smooth operations of FEMBA and EMBA Career Events and Programs.

2-3 years of experience in a direct student facing/customer service role in a University serving MBA working professionals (FEMBAs and EMBAs).

Excellent communication skills with proven ability to relate complex information clearly, concisely, logically and diplomatically in person or in writing; ability to write grammatically correct reports, business correspondence and emails; ability to speak before small and large groups to make announcements and introductions.
