Job Summary

As Product Manager, you will work with the Director of Product for First American’s National Commercial Services (NCS) division to drive NCS’ product and customer experience program and components forward in a way that solidifies our position as the leading commercial real estate provider. You will engage heavily with an extended ecosystem of stakeholders to facilitate and manage product in support of differentiation in the market.

You will own, deliver and drive continuous value to customers and partners by building new features via APIs, improving existing ones and delivering a best-in-class developer experience.

ROLE SUMMARY
Be a key part of our digital transformation. You will focus on what’s next by defining the epics/features and be a leader for the API Squad. We want an experienced Product Manager who understands and has lived the full product lifecycle multiple times, but really thrives in optimizing API products and experiences. These optimizations will require the ability to collect and critically analyze a number of inputs, including:

Product & Business Analytics
Customer and Partner Feedback
Additional Stakeholder Inputs (including executives, customer support reps, designers, engineers, researchers and more!)

It’ll then be your responsibility to prioritize and oversee the strategy, design and build of new capabilities or enhancements that will have the most positive impact on the API product suite. In this role, you will lead a squad of engineers and collaborate with designers through the Agile process of making the product the best it can possibly be, while managing and communicating roadmaps, risks, and timelines to various stakeholders in the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
As the lead product manager of the API Squad, you are responsible for overall product guidance, vision, prioritization, planning, and stakeholder communication where it pertains to improving its existing features, flows and experiences. This includes API functionality as well as the delivery of documentation and API management tools for customers, partners and internal teams. You’ve got to be a quick study and become a domain expert in the areas required for your product (ClarityFirst API). You need to know the business opportunities, competitors, customer pain points and technical details about each part of the product.

The Product Manager is also a guide. Teams look to you to chart out the approach that will get them results within their time and budget.

Analysis: Collecting research and analytics, then aiming to uncover insights or problems areas from all of the data collected
Strategy: Defining or updating business goals for existing features
Stakeholder Management: Communicating, taking input from and guiding the executive steering committee through roadmap prioritization, feature recommendations and progress
Design: Converting ideas and goals into wireframes with a UX/UI designer, often developing the first set of sketches yourself or collaboratively
Engineering: Overseeing the delivery of each milestone by managing/collaborating with the team
