Natural Gas Inspector and Technician
Magnolia River is ready to train and hire a team of individuals to work as natural gas inspectors and meter technicians. Our team works to service gas utilities in residential and commercial properties to inspect gas lines for corrosion and leaks. The position affords opportunities to grow and advance throughout our organization. Magnolia river has over 500 gas inspectors across 30 states with a significant presence in New York, New Jersey, and New England.
If you do not have gas experience that is ok! We will provide comprehensive training to prepare you for the job. Individuals with construction, mechanical, or technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time opportunity with over time available and also includes vehicle mileage reimbursement. The role of a gas corrosion and leak inspector is incredibly important and provides tremendous value to our utility clients by ensuring local homes and businesses are safe and secure. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GAS INSPECTOR

Perform external surface inspection to ensure there is for visible corrosion
Conduct leak testing using a GMI (gas measurement instrument)
Reporting results on a mobile device with an installed application.
Maintain a high level of worksite health and safety

REQUIREMENTS OF THE GAS INSPECTOR

1-3+ years of construction, mechanical, natural gas, or other technical skill preferred
Previous utility customer experience is a plus
Strong customer service aptitude
Knowledge of computer software tools
Ability to work independently, and take initiative to perform tasks
Ability to communicate with project team staff or others
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
OSHA 10 or higher certification required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
