About ICG
Insight Consulting Group (ICG) is seeking a talented Research Manager to join our growing team.
ICG is a boutique strategic marketing consulting firm with a core competency in market research and strategy. Our primary services are strategic healthcare qualitative, ethnographic or quantitative market research engagements. ICG’s engagements are customized to address the unique business needs of our clients and deliver actionable insights that we translate into meaningful commercial recommendations to make an impact.
The Research Manager will play a key role for our research teams, by leading a team comprised of up to three other individuals. They will oversee all aspects of research and account management. Additionally, the Research Manager will lead the team to plan, conduct, and synthesize research to identify key themes, trends, and insights (globally and by segment) and then bring those insights to life in PowerPoint form. This individual will direct the consultants and analysts on the team across multiple engagements simultaneously to ensure excellence in execution of research and client deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of research and account management
Work with team members to write research plans/discussion guides
Work with team to ensure analysis is strong and complete
Actively participate in storyboarding with team
Direct and actively participate in report writing
Ensure all client deliverables are to ICG’s standards
Direct team’s work, providing supportive and constructive feedback

Develop team members using ICG’s Roadmap for Success (HR Feedback &Development Plan)
Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, psychology, communications, journalism, anthropology, or related fields required
Advanced degree in social sciences desired (Masters or PhD)

6 to 8 years experience analyzing and interpreting qualitative data, or advanced degree and 3 to 5 years experience

1 to 2 years experience leading research teams

Excellent attention to detail
Excellent critical thinking skills
Experience moderating focus groups and/or IDIs
Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to quickly identify meaning and connections within large sets of data
Experience turning insights into opportunities and solutions
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to create compelling visual content, with strong PowerPoint skills
Moderate understanding of business principles and terminology
Capacity to work collaboratively and proactively within a team environment, as well as independently
Willingness to work at both a strategic and tactical level

Ability to meld quantitative data with qualitative data

Pay: $90,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
