Job Description :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as general guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned or required to support the success of Wenger Corporation.

Planning for material requirements using MRP system (Epicor) and requests from Production and Project Management. Implementing safety stock levels and reorder quantities based on direction from Materials Manager, adapting to new product introductions and changing demand.
Purchasing of materials, products, and outside fabrication services. This will represent a mix of standard and custom designed components and products.
Soliciting vendor quotations and negotiating pricing and rates.
Coordinating with Production and Project Management staff to ensure on-time and low-cost delivery of purchased materials, products and services.
Leading selection and evaluation of J.R. Clancy’s Approved Vendors.
Monitoring vendor performance and changing approved vendor list status as needed.
Coordinating with outside vendors including follow-up on Supplier Corrective Action Reports.
Identifying nonconformities and initiating Corrective Action Reports and Supplier Corrective Action Reports, as needed.
Complying with all requirements of the Quality Management System
Performing work activities that are in line with achieving the company’s Quality Objectives
Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
All other tasks/duties/projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2- or 4-year College Degree (preferred) or Equivalent Experience
Prior purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment of materials
Fabricated/machined products, and electrical components/assemblies (Minimum 5 years)
Knowledge of computer systems
Good organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
