Job Description :
We are currently hiring Retail Associate for Angry Orchard Cidery in Waldon, NY. The Retail Associate is responsible for the day-to-day floor operations of the cidery Retail Shop. They are responsible for ensuring sound retail operations at the cider house and maintaining the highest-level retail experience to all cider house guests. This person is expected to help drive and grow retail sales by helping create an exemplary retail and taproom experience.

This person is expected to help drive and grow retail sales by helping create an exemplary retail and taproom experience.
What You’ll Brew:
Customer Service & Experience

Actively engages cidery guests, answers their questions, and assists them in their shopping and general cidery needs.
Acts as a Angry Orchard brand ambassador to all guests, relaying important information related to the cider house, our ciders, and Boston Beer Company/Angry Orchard as a whole.
Delivers an unmatched cidery retail experience by maintaining the highest level of customer service at all times.

Operations

Responsible for day-to-day general operations of the Shop at the Cider House, including operating POS machines, stocking merchandise, and maintaining visual standards throughout the cider house including merchandising and general taproom cleanliness.
Collaborates with Taproom and Retail Assistant Manager to create engaging and effective merchandise displays that drive sales and brand awareness.
Processes merchandise shipments, including counting, folding, barcode stickering, size stickering and proper storage of all retail units, while communicating all units received to the Taproom and Retail Assistant Manager.
Participates in all physical inventory counts, including monthly cycle counts and quarterly full inventory counts.
Partners with the Taproom and Retail Assistant Manager and Cidery Marketing Manager to create effective Shop promotions during peak season

What Ingredients You’ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:

1 year+ in a fast-paced retail environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Retail operations and/or visual merchandising

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
While performing the duties of this role, it may be required to climb flights of stairs, work from height or on elevated platforms
Agile enough to step over, crouch or crawl under
Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
Ability to pour, pick up a glass, deliver beverages to customers
Ability to maintain Taproom cleanliness, including, but not limited to, bussing and changing garbages
Ability to handle service equipment such as pallet jack or Bobcat.
