PURPOSE OF THIS JOB
The Field Scout’s primary function is to promote and expand the presence of Guayaki Yerba Mate within the independent channel of an assigned metropolitan area. The Field Scout is responsible for increasing product placement and sales within independent convenience, natural grocery, drug store, liquor stores, and bars/restaurants. Field Scouts are responsible for upselling number of products available in each account, expanding cooler space, and adding product displays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Expand the numeric distribution of Guayaki Yerba Mate in the independent channel of customers by building relationships with and educating retailers
Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with customers to increase sales and selling space
Convert these relationships into buying customers for the Sales & Distribution team to service
Research and understand community to be aware of new store openings, buying trends and events
Ensure that all The Yerba Mate Co, LLC’s equipment is clean and in good working order.
Safely operate and maintain company provided vehicle and adhere to company vehicle policy.
Ensures that all required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted via mobile app after each sale is completed
Reports sales and inventory accurately to key stakeholders
Work and achieve various key performance indicators (KPIs) under minimal supervision
Evaluate all competitors’ activities such as new launches and price reductions and communicate with Regional Sales Director
Build and protect the The Yerba Mate Co, LLC’s brand through proper rotation to ensure fresh product and set proper brand flow following The Yerba Mate Co, LLC’s standards.
Increase inventory and diversity of products offered at each The Yerba Mate Co, LLC’s assigned account while delivering fresh product and constantly looking to improve in store branding

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED
Excellent sales skills
Good mathematical skills
Organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with customer contracts
Strong understanding of metropolitan area, its’ communities and their buying trends
Must be at least 21 years old
