Job Description :
The Glens Falls Country Club offers a variety of dining and meeting rooms. Small or large groups can be accommodated for casual dining, formal dining, parties or private meetings. The kitchen staff is here to serve and personalize every dining experience.
We are currently hiring for multiple Dishwashers to add to our kitchen staff.
The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas.
Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
Remove trash and garbage in the dumpster.
Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
Notify Chef anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.

Working Conditions:

This position will spend 100% of the time standing.

Fast pace work environment.

Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water

Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds (pots, pans, etc.) on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.

Must be able to read and understand basic cooking directions.
