Design Assistant
StaffBuffalo is actively working with one of our clients in Buffalo to hire a Design Assistant, paying $45,000 – $50,000/year, depending on experience. Are you good at conceptualizing the big design picture? Do you love interior design and want to add value to growing local organization?
This Design Assistant position is a very a hands-on role working closely with and reporting to the Interior Designer. The Design Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all phases of the development of various projects; including preliminary renderings at the Pre-Design and Design Development stages to various tasks ensuring the facilitation of the project being completed on time. This Design Assistant is a key communicator with clients and vendors throughout the design process.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on design experience, from quotes to completed final rendering of designs. This is both an internal and external client facing and vendor communications role as well as a behind the scenes coordinating and tackling administrative tasks throughout the design timeline.
Required Qualifications:

1-2 Years of Experience in Interior Design
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office
High attention to detail and Organizational skills
Excellent records management

Ability to Effectively Manage Time and Meet Deadlines

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Design (preferred) or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Photography experience
Interior Design training
Social Media Posting/Publishing
