Department Overview
Hiring Hall Administration is part of the Human Resources Labor and Talent Operations team at PG&E, which supports the administration of our collective bargaining agreements.

Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Hiring Hall Staffing Consultant who will manage and administer the Hiring Hall staffing process in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The successful candidate will perform the full scope of activities associated with the Hiring Hall staffing process for temporary union job vacancies. They will partner with the IBEW and ESC Unions and ensure that vacancies are staffed in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements.

Additionally, the successful candidate will proctor in-person tests to internal employees and external job applicants and must be flexible to drive to PG&E offices to do so.

This position is classified as hybrid, working from your home office and the Concord office as business needs require or for team meetings and training.

Job Responsibilities

The position duties include, but are not limited to: Acts as an expert with interpretation and contract clarification on labor agreements as it pertains to job bidding/hiring hall. Consults with clients, Return to Work, Human Resources peers, Labor Relations, Law Department, Corporate Security, IBEW and ESC Unions on Hiring Hall staffing strategy/needs, job qualifications/descriptions, contract interpretation, hiring decisions etc. Fills temporary Hiring Hall vacancies in compliance with ESC and IBEW collective bargaining unit agreements Analyze, develop, and create/refine Hiring Hall procedures and communications Work within the following systems: SAP, HRMS, iConnect and other vendor databases Identify and implement process improvements Aids hiring leaders and monitors compliance to ensure contractual and legal requirements are met.


Minimum: High school or General Educational Development-GED diploma 3 years or relevant work-related experience Possess a valid CA driver’s license

Desired: Bachelor’s degree Proficient with Excel (reviewing data, creating spreadsheets, running reports) Experience working with unions Experience working with SAP Ability to navigate the organization and use relationships to resolve issues Advanced facilitation and coordination skills Ability to identify and implement process improvements
