LCAT-Software Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:

Looking for a full-time Software Developer to become a member of the Ground Software team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing, implementing, and adapting Ground Data Subsystem (GDS) software in support of a JPL mission.
Writing, testing, and deploying software
Providing supporting documentation and/or procedures for development and operations
Assisting data processing and related operations support with automation and delivery

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen
Typically requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE/CE or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of related industry experience.
Demonstrated understanding of software engineering practices.
Experience with Full Stack Development using REST API
Self-sufficient and self-motivated developer, one who has shown the ability to “own” a product / subsystem and push it to completion
History of successful software deliveries to multiple venue
Familiarity with Ground Data System concepts and operations
Experience with mission or instrument operations experience
Solid knowledge of Python and Javascript.

Desired Skills:

Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure
Experience with Git or Subversion
Familiarity with DevOps and concepts of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with laboratory and NASA policies and procedures and associated government regulations
Experience working on teams within creative, fluid and collaborative development environments
