Responsibilities:
What You Will Do
As the Temporary Health & Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for performing functions to support the accurate and timely administration of company programs which may include health & welfare, leave of absence, return to work and retirement. The Support Specialist performs a variety of administrative duties in support of department programs and initiatives. This job classification requires general knowledge off office procedures and regulatory requirements in area of specialty, the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills.
How You Will Make A Difference
Oversee and administer leave of absence requests requiring specialized attention. This includes evaluating for eligiblity under state and local laws and special leaves related to COVID-19.
Request, review, and file confidential documents
Assist in sending letters and leave of absence information.
Coordinate with other teams (TM Relations and Payroll and Store/Facility Leaders) to assist team members on leave of absence and ensure pay (if applicable) is processed timely.
Respond to Team Members with knowledge and compassion regarding their leave of absence inquiries.
Work flexible and/or extended hours to accomplish tasks and assist Team Members.

Qualifications:
Must Haves
Customer service is a must – our team members are our customers!
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Calendars, Email) preferred.
Great written and verbal communication skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA certification will be required).
Critical evaluation and organizational skills and ability to interpret data.
Ability to change tasks and adapt quickly to changing work requirements.
Permanent residency in California or Nevada is a condition of employment for this position. This means a job offer may be denied or rescinded and, if employed, employment may be terminated if an applicant/team member ceases to reside in California or Nevada.
