Job Description :
Mattress Firm is excited to announce the opening of an HR Generalist! The HR Generalist assists in administering human resources policies and procedures. Participates in investigation procedures for internal and external complaints. Provides trusted consultation to people leaders on developing and leading employees. Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, retention, etc. to help make recommendations for improvement. Processes paperwork for functional area according to established procedures. May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies. May have additional responsibilities as a subject matter expert in a specific HR discipline.

Essential Responsibilities

Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
Collaborate with the VP, Human Resources, and the HR Leadership team to create and implement a strategy to align human resources programs, plans, processes, practices, and tools, specifically in the areas of Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS, with our strategic business goals.
Ensure delivery of high quality and consistent Human Resources support to internal and external customers through metrics and Quality Assurance of tickets and associate transactions.
Audit current processes and procedures to ensure compliances are consistent with regulatory, company, and departmental standards.
Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all
Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts
Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation
Communicates any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations

Non-Essential Responsibilities

Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
Undertake tasks around performance management
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
Organize annual employee performance reviews
Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
Ensure compliance with labor regulations
Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Contributes ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources or related field required

Professional Experience

5+ Years Proven experience as an HR Generalist required
1+ Years Remote/Hybrid Work Experience preferred
