About the Role
In this role, you will be a part of a new innovative digital experience where you will partner with business leaders and engineers to build custom software that powers AthletaWell. In service of its mission, Athleta created AthletaWell – a new digital-first community dedicated to helping women thrive as they navigate the many facets of womanhood and female wellbeing. AthletaWell invites members to connect with vetted female wellbeing experts and other members through shared experiences and learning. It is the brand’s answer to the customer’s need for connection and support when it comes to achieving their wellness goals. To accelerate AthletaWell through the next stage of growth, we’re looking for a Product Manager to direct the digital manifestation of AthletaWell. You’ll be working on a small team with broad scope, taking our vision from idea to a seamless user experience. A big part of this role is to build and drive personalized experiences leveraging data to drive a deeper connection between consumer and brand. We’re looking for a candidate who can find the right problem to tackle, explore ideas for how to solve and refine into a coherent solution. The ideal candidate intimately understands the potential of best-in-class digital experiences and can work collaboratively with product management, consumer insights, developers, brand partners, and UX designers to bring our product vision and feature roadmap to life. In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role can be based in our San Francisco offices or can be remote in other US locations.
What You’ll Do

As a PdM II, you will work with your product management counterparts and leaders to define and build data and personalization capabilities for AthletaWell
Champion personalization capabilities, helping advance the vision for this space, drive innovation, gather user feedback, and evolve our capabilities over time
Partner closely with Customer Analytics, Data Science and Digital teams, and to influence adoption of new features or applications
Write robust requirements, prioritize the backlog, and work closely with the engineering teams to deliver and test quality software
Develop and manage project plans and key stakeholder engagement strategy on all initiatives
Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders; articulates product needs clearly and succinctly to different audiences and cross functional partners
Develop in depth knowledge of industry trends and standards to introduce the continual process, tool and methodology improvements
Identify, measure, and interpret results to validate product strategy; Provide research, analysis, and support for identifying, evaluating, and resolving strategic opportunities

Who You Are

Minimum 3-5 years of product management experience including experience in designing, developing and implementing platforms, APIs, and/or complex customer capabilities
Data-driven mindset and track record of managing both custom-built and 3rd party software implementations
Experience working with large software engineering teams both within and outside of your domain
Demonstrate technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, to understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs and to represent technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions
Experience building and/or participating in digital communities
