A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based business is currently seeking a Inventory/Shipping Clerk – Small Parcel.
Job DescriptionWe are a Brooklyn Navy-Yard based electric bike retailer that aspires to properly introduce e-bikes to the US! Our Brooklyn, NY, and Long Beach, CA storefronts are an extension of our robust web presence and customers come from all over the United States as well as abroad. In an immature market with many competitors making a quick buck selling substandard products, we are helping educate consumers & legislators to build a long-term foundation for high-quality e-bikes.
What You Might Be Working OnWe are a small, fast-growing company, so everyone has opportunities to gainexperience in different aspects of the business over time. That said, here are some ofthe initial responsibilities for this position:

Checking in and storing inventory, parts, accessories, packaging materials, office

supplies, etc.

Tracking and managing inventory through our multiple channels using the Veeqo

software platform.

Pulling Customer orders and “Staging” them for the Fulfillment team to

build/assemble/test prior to shipping.

Shipping small parcels and parts to customers
Creating a daily “Build List” for the fulfillment team to prioritize and schedule the day’s efforts.
Managing customer expectations by providing lead times for desired products and

explaining our fulfillment process.

Advising the fulfillment team of any urgent customer needs and/or deadlines.

Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to learn, grow, and really take ownership of the position. Experience with bikes or e-bikes is a plus, as there will be some hands-on responsibilities. That said, the other qualities above are far more important to us. Everything e-bike-related can be taught. Every employee starts building bikes and is trained to service and assemble bikes during your training period.
