Key Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software development including strong Java skills
A strong foundation in Computer Science including statistics and algorithms
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
Ability and desire to innovate, influence, inspire not only your team but other teams you will be working closely with
Experience with scalable distributed persistent cache or stores in practice, like: Cassandra, Voldemort, Memcached and Redis

Description

Apple is looking for a talented, passionate and driven engineering manager to lead the Charts Team for Apple Media Products in San Francisco. You will be part of the Apple Media Products Analytics Engineering group. Alongside other talented engineers in this space, you will help innovate and drive more efficiency and scale in our Popularity/Charts processing pipelines and tools. In your role you will also interact with other teams within AMP such as Search, Recommendation and outside AMP such as Siri, Shazam as they rely on those datasets for their own rankings/models/operations/analysis. Our team is geographically diverse. We’re looking for someone whose “people skills” complement their technical skills, someone who loves improving things as much as building things, and someone who is passionate about discovering new ways to accelerate the rate at which we can improve our products.
