Responsibilities:

Great work you’ll do here:

Authorization/Verification Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely process of incoming authorizations. Authorization/Verification Specialist will work with multiple payor sources to secure pre-authorization home health care services per assigned client. Work closely to determine primary payor for proper billing sequence and assures bills for services are submitted for payment.

Verification of Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance Coverage using EMR System, Intranet, and Direct contact with payor source
Review the insurance verification and complete the authorization process within established time frames
Determine the coverage requirement and if pre-certification is required working with payor source to complete approval process
Secures that Intrepid USA is an approved provider
Notifies appropriate parties of all in-network or out-of-network status to alert Care Center of possible reimbursement changes
Gathers the required orders and coverage authorization information form the Care Center designee
Provides updates to the Care Centers of any verifications that require more information and works to obtain this information from the Care Center
Requests authorization from insurance company case manager to provide specific services and parameters of care
Maintains a chart for each patient to include forms and authorization/verification
Creates follow-up system to assure ongoing authorizations are obtained
Works closely with and supports team efforts to accomplish authorization/verification
Completes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company

A bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting or business
Minimum of two (2) years of intake or medical billing experience
