SRS is seeking an Associate Relations Manager to join our ShopRite team! This role is responsible for modeling and maintaining in-store Associate behavior with respect to our purpose, which is achieved through recruitment, training, observation and coaching. In addition, the position is responsible for store hiring, new associate orientation, standards and compliance training and tracking. The Associate Relations Manager is the store’s liaison for community relationship building. The Associate Relationship Manager reports to the District Human Resources Specialist while collaborating with the Store Management team.
Overview of Responsibilities

Models the company’s Purpose with all activities, communication and demonstrates the foundation of our core values through professionalism, commitment to service, reaching resolutions, making guests feel trusted, welcome, important, special and pleased.
Ensures store hiring needs are filled on a consistent basis; develops a process for creating a pool of applicants ready to hire.
Ensures all pre-employment testing procedures are followed for the Application, Drug Testing (when applicable), Supplemental Criminal Conviction Information Disclosure Process, etc.
Ensures all Post-Hiring Paperwork is completed correctly and to the standards set forth by the Company Payroll Department.
Ensures all on-boarding processes are executed, by scheduling and delivering Orientation and applicable training to new hires.
Ensures training is current and ongoing in the areas of concern for each Associate and member of Management based on position curriculum. Consistently conduct 3-week follow-ups with new associates to identify any additional training needs assessment.
Assists in developing and aligning community strategy plans. Manage in-store community outreach strategy through the distribution of store level donation program.
Assists Store Management in creating and maintaining the Guest Service Experience, to include following up on guest calls, guest surveys and secret shopper assessments.
Assists with the process for Consumer Panels, customer experience measures and Associate Engagement Measures.
Promotes development opportunities and plans that allow for continuous improvement of the store and its engagement of associates.
Plans and executes regular culture building and Associate Appreciation Events.
Creates a culture of face to face communication that helps to drive Associate development by promoting Huddle Meetings, providing developmental support for the Company’s succession program and participating in Department Manager Meetings.
Adheres to and complies with all store rules, company policies, safety requirements, security standards and all local, state, federal, health and civil code regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in training
Strong interpersonal communication and listening skills.
Flexible availability and weekends are required, minimum of two nights required until 9:00 PM.
Occasional travel required
Ability to problem solve and make decisions
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure and training manuals is required. The ability to speak publicly in and out of store.
Ability to effectively communicate with Managers, Associates, Guests and the general public.
Ability to perform basic math skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions (written or oral)
Required to regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and or smell. The associate frequently is required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
The associate must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 lbs. or more as a group lift.
Ability to work in varying temperatures.
