Overview:

Conde Nast is currently seeking a SVP, Communications for the company’s corporate and brand communications strategy across its global markets including Europe, APAC and Latin America. This role will be responsible for creating an integrated communications vision across the company’s portfolio award-winning brands. Serving as a key leader in the communications executive team and international business-at-large, this person will oversee a team of international communications directors and work closely with business leaders and editorial talent worldwide to strengthen the company’s global narrative. The SVP will not only build a strong, integrated communications strategy, but lead a talented team of professionals to help implement and expand it internationally. The candidate will aggressively build and enhance on already highly influential and iconic brands.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manages an international team of 20+ that directly leads communications for our brands including Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ, WIRED, AD, Condé Nast Traveler and over 20 others globally in the Condé Nast portfolio.

Brings together comprehensive communications strategic plans that promote talent, content and business priorities across 37 different brands and 32 markets globally including Europe, LatAM and APAC regions.

Oversees all brand, corporate and crisis communications strategies internationally.

Partners with and advises executive leadership globally, including managing directors and editors.

Primary global liaison with the corporate communications team to align market-specific business and brand priorities with the global communications strategy.

Connects brands across markets when needed and leads cross-regional working groups for each brand on global editions, content initiatives and long-term strategic priorities in collaboration.

Works closely with the Chief Communications Officer and senior communications leadership team on high-level company narrative strategy and major corporate moments.

Work closely with the global internal communications team to create meaningful and creative ways to connect with employees in multiple countries and territories.

Aligns corporate strategy with brand strategy in prioritizing timing and messaging.

Conceptualizes and delivers original PR moments, events and opportunities to enhance brand perception.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Expert in communications and media relations with high standing and known reputation in media and among top journalists globally.

Proven ability to garner proactive media attention for brands by using trusted relationships and expertise.

Globally curious with an understanding of media landscapes in multiple markets outside of the U.S and U.K

Experience managing global teams

Ability to work collaboratively across global teams; can lead among senior leadership and executive teams

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred

Experience in media, entertainment and journalism a plus

15+ years’ experience in media communications

Exceptional writing skills.

Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred
