Front Line Consulting focuses on providing Program Management and Process Improvements. We are currently looking for a Procurement Analyst to work with the Office Of General Services (OGS). This will be a long-term position. This person will work Hybrid/Out of the office in Long Island, NY.
Position Scope
This position will be remote or in-office as decided by PSEG Long Island – a candidate must be willing to work under both conditions. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for Contract Management and Procurement of services and materials consistent with the needs of PSEG Long Island Procurement Group. Work with a cross-functional team that engages in Government Contracts and Capital projects.
Daily Tasks
Develop, and implement RFPs, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Amendments, and Change Orders.
Complete administrative tasks and projects related to Procurement and Contract Administration.
Ensure accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development, and contract administration while maintaining procurement policies and procedures compliance.
Manage the day-to-day administration of Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Coordinating with Project Teams and Invoices between Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, and the Company.
Perform qualitative and quantitative reviews of invoices for reconciliation and payment.
Pre-qualify suppliers
Conduct Pre-bid Meetings & Site Walk
Promote cost savings
Conduct market research and analysis
Supplier Management/ Vendor Relations
Monitor and expedite PO/Contract deliverables
Monitor status via contact with customers and suppliers/contractors
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Additional most important attributes for candidates
Proven ability to issue RFPs, perform bid analytics, and draft recommendations to award documents.
Proven ability to negotiate contract terms/ amendments.
Proven work experience in procuring Capital Equipment and Executing Construction Contracts.
Knowledge about Warranty Terms & Credit Support Documents
Mandatory Requirements:

Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and may be tested during the interview process (if selected for an interview)
Bachelor of Science in Business or a related degree
Minimum of five years of relevant experience including sourcing Transformers, Switch Gears, Cables, Wood Poles, and construction projects preferably in the Energy industry.
Knowledge of the supply chain– specific to Capital equipment is required.
Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, and Power Advocate software experience is preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, organizational and team-building skills.
Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

Education:

Advanced Excel: 5 years (Preferred)
