We’re looking for a qualified Front Office Supervisor like you to join our Texas Health family.

Work location: 1110 Raintree Circle, Ste 100, Allen TX 75013
Work environment: Orthopedics
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday- Thursday 7:30am – 3:00pm, and Friday 7:30am – 3:00pm

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Associate degree in business or healthcare related field (Preferred)
One year of medical practice management or relevant clinic leadership experience (Required)
One year of practice management within a specialty office (Orthopedics, Surgery, Trauma, Cardiology, Nephrology etc.) (Strongly Preferred)
Skills
Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Demonstrates good understanding of health insurance and medical costs, including coding. Proficient computer and EMR skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel. Demonstrated business and analytic/financial skills. Strong communication and organizational skills Proven experience in a customer service environment. Strong people management and development skills. Ability to shape communications to the needs of the audience. Knowledgeable of HIPAA, state and federal regulations governing confidentiality, release of information and record retention. Familiar with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) functionality, document imaging, and workflow. Allscripts and EPIC Care Connect EMR experience a plus.
Position Responsibilities
Assists the Practice Manager by supervising and coordinating front office functions of the clinic. Effectively leads and develops a team of employees including training, development, and employee counseling. Manages and or participates in front office operations to maximize patient satisfaction, patient access, maintenance of medical records, verification of benefits, timely and accurate charge entry, collection of payments and customer service efforts. Assists Practice Manager by ensuring front office staff are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications and other annual training. Monitors staff’s time and attendance consistent with THR policies. Assists the Practice Manager to implement and manage performance goals and objectives as well as long-term planning. Coordinates scheduling of operations to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls. Ensures work environment complies with regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements by monitoring the work setting on an ongoing basis to identify deficiencies, risk, and opportunities for improvement. Serves as the first point of contact for patient and external customer complaints for front office operational concerns and feedback. Responsible for investigating all complaints relating to front office practice operations and routes privacy and/or Compliance complaints/issues. Escalates reoccurring problems as needed. Acts as a liaison between the practice and Central Billing Office. Serves as a Medical Records Custodian. Reviews authorizations and 3rd party chart review requests for validity. Ensures required Protected Health Information disclosures are tracked. Reports all confirmed or suspected privacy breaches, patient complaints regarding privacy to the Entity Safety Officer or Compliance in timely manner. Enforces and monitors corrective action plans.
