HRIS Specialist
The primary objective of this role is understanding business needs as well as the maintenance and configuration of HRIS systems to meet those needs. This role interacts with each member of the HR team, as well as third-party vendors, to capture business requirements and translate them into the corresponding system configuration, analysis, and reporting. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of HR data analysis and reporting, systems administration experience to provide professional guidance, coordination, support in the effective and consistent application of HRIS, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting, and Reporting. This position reports to the Director of HR.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrated applied knowledge in configurating system security, implementations, integrations, and custom report writing, or a combination of areas is required
Ability to troubleshoot system issues, demonstrating knowledge of business processes, and domain security principles.
Strong system configuration design skills with an understanding of a position-based system
Provide a full range of systems administration support and complete knowledge transfer to end users to ensure system adoption and participate in the development of training material for HR staff
Develop ad hoc reports as required, conduct analysis and propose recommendation
Creative, analytical, and results-driven orientation, demonstrated through the ability to draw conclusions, themes, and trends from data analysis and communicate results effectively
Partner with Director of HR to develop data analytics dashboards, HR metrics, and reports for initiatives and business strategy
Complete audit activities, compliance requests, and ensure system data integrity, including employee data from recruiting, employment, benefits, M&A project and etc.
Identify opportunities to maximize system accuracy and efficiency and present recommended solutions
Partner with internal HR resources to engineer integration HR solutions, including but not limited to HCM, Benefits, Recruiting. Orchestrates Safety the efforts of other HR team members to ensure a seamless transition (e.g. Benefits, New Hire documents, etc.), providing end-user training as needed for new
Serve as the Administrator and power-user for ancillary HR systems, including systems like Oracle, Sage People, UKG, ADP and etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong research, analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (IF statement, PivotTable, Macro, and etc.)
Solid knowledge of HRIS systems, experienced in system configuration, trouble shooting, business rule setup, and understand how to train employees for systems adoption
Experience with coordination of employee data, and basic benefits, compensation and payroll practices. Some familiarity with employment law is a plus.
A proven track record of maintaining confidentiality, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining a professional demeanor
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities at a time and keeping them all on track.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels and across functions of the organization including the ability to interact with senior management and entrepreneur business leaders.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and train/mentor junior staff
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, preferred in Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance/Accounting, statistics, or business administration
At least 3+ years of HR analysis, HRIS, compensation and benefits experience
Experience running, modifying, and creating queries preferred
Experience with Visio, Python, Tableau preferred
PHR or CCP or related education preferred
