Job Description :
The Loan Officer position is responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for loans and processing various loan applications. Gather background information and analyze loan applicants’ credit history. Approve or deny loan applications based on analysis. Operate with substantial credit authority for both consumer and RES loans.
– Guide Members with through the loan application process to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience while gathering the necessary information needed to make a quality lending decision.
– Determine debt-to-income ratios and credit worthiness by pulling credit reports and verifying debts, sources of income, and payment history.
– Determine collateral needs and payment plans for Members applying for loans that fall within policy guidelines and repayment capacity.
– Approve deny, or Counter-offer loan applications in a professional and timely manner.
– Actively promote additional lending products and services in addition to deposit products and services.
– Consistently maintain compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures and Federal/State rules and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
