Job Description :
FTS has partnered with a great group in Syracuse looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting. This person will be directly responsible for assisting with SEC filings and financial reporting, lease accounting analysis, and the supervision of a Staff Accountant. Ideally this person is coming from a Financial Reporting background within a publicly-traded environment or has some exposure to SEC clients while in public accounting. CPA is required.
Responsibilities:

Draft consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures to support quarterly and annual SEC filings and other internal financial statement requirements.
Ensure compliance with new accounting pronouncements and interpretations
Ensure ongoing compliance in various technical accounting areas including lease accounting, stock option accounting and asset impairment reviews.
Perform initial lease accounting analysis including analysis required for sale-leaseback transaction accounting.
Assist with the coordination the external and internal annual and quarterly audits and reviews.
Review monthly internal financial report packages prior to distribution.
Prepare quarterly debt covenant calculations.
Review and coordinate work of the staff accountant in the Reporting Department.
Assist with various reporting requirements and presentations for senior management.
Coordinate reporting needs with Corporate Accounting to manage timing of reporting deliverables.
Assist in compliance with the various aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley as they relate to reporting.
Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Financial Reporting: 3 years (Preferred)
SEC: 2 years (Preferred)
