Job Description :
Summary:
Substation Foreman performs advanced electrical work in the construction, maintenance, operation and repair of substations.
Specific duties:

Responsible for managing and directing the activities of all Substation technicians to ensure that the quality and quantity of work performed is in compliance with applicable safety standards and operating policies.
Lead crews installing HV substations, including foundations, grounding, steel erection, equipment installation, wiring, testing and commissioning.
Responsible for implementing electrical safety requirements including LOTO, arc flash, proper PPE, etc.
Develop work plans, means and methods, and schedule to maximize progress in a safe and timely manner.
Advise Superintendents of potential problems, work interferences, schedule impacts, etc.; assist in circumventing and resolving such problems.
Conducts project review and planning with Project Manager/Superintendent.
Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation.
Manages and schedules assigned staff.
Responsible for upkeep and safe-keep of all equipment and tools assigned for substation construction.
Complete daily and weekly written reporting of work progress and work schedule forecasts.
Provide crews with information and correct resources necessary to complete their tasks.
Attract and recruit qualified field personnel, including local labor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Understanding of relay schemes.
Preference will be given to candidates with electrical, renewable energy, and Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) contract experience.

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in a construction supervision role, with experience in high voltage electrical projects.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments and prioritize, as required.
Be a self-starter that enjoys challenges and leading teams.

Salary Range: $43.00-$48.00/hrLocation: US

Construction site environment includes early stage permitting, development and auditing through finished roads and features. Extensive travel with driving to remote sites along with office work in field conditions is also included.
