We have a fabulous opportunity for a passionate, and ambitious Eastern Region Photography Manager, who’s great with visual storytelling. We are looking for an outstanding candidate who knows how to balance both the big picture and the small details; a creative thinker; a competitive spirit and a strong team player.
As the Eastern Region Photography Manager, you will be responsible for managing the photo teams and deadlines due for the shooting of thousands of photos each week that serve as campaign verification for advertisers. Additionally, carefully crafted videos and glamour shots to be used in marketing promotions need the input of talented department head that will ensure the photo staff delivers quality in addition to quantity, depending on the task. You’ll need an entrepreneurial mindset and the knowledge on how best to approach new opportunities, unifying the photography teams to produce the best possible imagery for markets in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, D.C., and Connecticut, to increase sales revenues and promote marketing, creative and real estate to higher levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Train/mentor all photographers on shooting POP (Proof-of-Performance) photos, Marketing photos, and video for sales, marketing, creative and real estate initiatives
Train/mentor all photographers on editing imagery and video
Train/mentor all photographers on standardized naming of photos/video and uploading all footage to the POP Hub
Manage POP Hub library for all photography
Manage/oversee all video projects
Ensure all photographers are contributing to the best of imagery every week and video as applicable
Oversee/approve scheduling to optimize an ensure image/video delivery per each campaign/project goals
Travel to different markets as needed. Collaborate w/ the local team to produce new media material or assist in the development of the existing work force
Consult with management on the hiring of new photographers. Reviewing portfolios & relevant work experience
o Coordinate equipment, and the processing of all invoices with local markets management teams

Manage freelance and contract photographers/videographers for market areas without staff photographers
Design and implement comprehensive strategies to improve overall quality of photography services
Oversee the department and provide guidance/feedback to other photographers
Monitor progress and submit occasional performance reports. (Every quarter)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Photography, OOO preferred
Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions
Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
A superior ability to originate, research, shoot, and edit shoots
Have a hands-on approach with a determined and ambitious attitude
Willingness and interest in experimenting in new ways for visual storytelling
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
Excellent knowledge of the market geography and the local street grid and transit system where applicable
Proficient in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop; preferred knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

REQUIRE SKILLS:

Ability to work well and calmly with people in a high-pressure environment
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Work well under very strict deadlines
Ability to carry at least 50 pounds of equipment
Must have a flexible schedule willingness to work early morning or late-night, on weekends and holidays with short notice
Knowledge and adherence to OSHA safety standards

REPORTING:

The Eastern Region Photography Manager reports to the Regional Vice President, Sales.
