This Data Entry Clerk position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Our office is located at 36 View Acre Drive, Huntington, NY.

We offer 4 to 5 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:

Patient discharge and medical records processing
Document Capture and process medical records from Huntington Hospital
Obtain, maintain, and update records within the system
Scan and save documents electronically and save to EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system
Utilize Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to maintain inventory records
Performs word processing and various other clerical duties for department as assigned
Team rotation to pick up records from Huntington Hospital medical records office, generally once or twice a week per team member

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
Clerical and / or Data Entry experience
Experience with Microsoft Word (ability to create a table and input data within cells)
Ability to walk up to 10 minutes to pick up medical records from Huntington Hospital as required
Ability to work 37.5 hours a week during the hours of operation Monday through Friday starting between 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree (or higher)
Knowledge and / or experience with hospital EMR
Prior Hospital HIM experience

Soft Skills:

Candidate must be willing to work hard and be dedicated to Customer Service
Must be able to work within a team environment and contribute to the team
Excellent communication ability, both written and verbal skills
Must be able and willing to multi – task on multiple things

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Ability to lift 30 lbs – medical record documents in boxes
